Tooth Colored Fillings

• At Charlottesville Dental Associates, we prefer to use tooth-colored composite resin for restorations. They provide good durability and resistance to fracture in fillings that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure. Composite fillings require less tooth structure to be removed when the dentist prepares the tooth than amalgam (silver-colored) fillings, and are virtually invisible to the untrained eye once in your mouth.
